Susan Arnout Smith, our featured speaker, is known for several accomplishments. Notably she’s author of “The Timer Game.”
Susan’s award winning talent, knowledge, flexibility, and tenacity has brought her successes, and she will tell us how she became an accomplished writer in many written media’s.
Also an award-winning playwright, Susan is widely recognized for her work as a scriptwriter for many television movies seen on LIFETIME, ABC and CBS. Among her credits she served as an essayist for National Public Radio Weekend-Edition Sunday.
This multi-talented writer will share with us her journey through her writing career from essays, to screenplays, to playwright, and recently selling her two book deal with St. Martin’s Minotaur and obtaining international distribution in ten countries.

Born in Anchorage, Susan was raised in Bergen Park, CO graduating from Evergreen High School and the University of Colorado in Boulder. She moved back to Alaska and worked on the Alaska pipeline and as a television anchor.
